bittersweet good bye

2014 events

After 4 years we have some sad news, we have made the difficult decision to close Mr. Crampy’s Multisport. It is not without a great deal of thought that we made this call. We are proud to have had the opportunity to serve the multisport community for the last few years and watch many of you take on life changing challenges. The last few years have brought some new challenges to us as well and that is a large part of our decision. Looking back the people we have met through the store enriched our lives, the friends that we have made have brought not only great memories but the promise of many more to come, and most of all a handful of you have become part of our family.
This is in no way a departure for us from the multisport community, instead it is a rebirth. We are excited to have more time and opportunities to enjoy events, activities and adventures.

As many of you know in the last couple years we formed a multisport club associated with the store called ‘The Crew’. We have decided to keep this as an active organization but will be opening it up to all as a public multisport group. The purpose of this club is to bring together active people that are looking to share in multisport training, events and adventures. Please let us know if you are interested in joining the Facebook group.

We would like to thank our families and friends for all of their support, our almost 2,400 facebook friends, and most of all, our loyal customers and the Crew. With out all of you Mr. Crampy’s would not have had the impact it did or the good times we shared. We would like to take a minute to call out a few people individually to thank for all their hard work…

Ken Hiatt, never in my life have I met someone as genuine and giving. Ken donated thousands of hours in the shop and even though work has taken him to the other side of the country he is and always will be one of our dearest friends.

Justin Lovitt, it has been a privilege to work side by side with you and watch you grow. You are without a doubt core to what Mr. Crampy’s was all about. You have a bright future in front of you and I look foreword to a continued friendship.

Mike ‘Mic’ McLane, it seems that as the universe took one saint away from us (Ken) another was delivered. Mic has also volunteered countless hours in the shop and been a leader in the Crew over the last several years. More importantly he has also become part of our family.

Sean Harwin, it has been a privilege to work with you as well and watch you grow, not only as an athlete and professional but as a person. Your generosity enabled Mr. Crampy’s to continue to support this community for as long as it did. Now I look foreword to spending some time training with you again.

Nina Sayed, another part of the family, we have enjoyed watching you grow up here and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!

Linda Ness (Mom), you have been the glue behind the scenes since day one. Taking care of the books as well as your financial and moral support. This would have been impossible without you!

We will be open until April 19th. Everything will be on sale at the store until then, so stop on by to pick up your last purchases. We will also continue to represent Hypr standup paddle boards as well as a few other brands so don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you want to learn what the latest SUP craze is all about!

Thanks again for all your support, it really has been an amazing couple of years. It really is a bittersweet good bye!
